There is a new scheme of Punjab Government under Smart Ration Card Scheme under NFSA of Punjab Government. Which was launched on 12 September 2020 by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh. The state government of Punjab had already given its approval to replace the blue cards of blue card holders with new smart ration cards under the Atta Dal scheme. Now the name of Atta Dal Scheme has been changed to Smart Ration Card Scheme as per the order of Punjab State Government. According to the new list of new scheme of Punjab government will cover 1.41 crore beneficiaries. Beneficiaries who were not covered under NFSA by the Chief Minister. Will provide subsidized ration to 9 lakh beneficiaries for which a new state funded scheme has also been announced.

 

Smart Ration Card will be used without any additional documents 

Which will be done through e-POS machines. Smart Ration Card will be used to draw food grains from Fair Price Shops (FPS). There will be a system of swiping smart ration cards on the EPOS machines. Through this, the details of the family can be obtained at the fair price shops. The card will have to be swiped for the withdrawal of food grains. After that biometric authentication will be necessary.

 

One of the major benefits of smart ration cards will be given 

Under which these cards will be intra-state portable. The benefit of which smart ration card holders will be able to withdraw food grains to their permanent residents in the district or anywhere in the state.

 

What will be the re-verification of beneficiaries? 

The Deputy Commissioners of all the districts of the state will be responsible for the re-verification of the beneficiaries. Punjab Government. Subsidized ration will be distributed to BPL families. The process of making chip smart ration cards for subsidized ration to BPL families has been started.

 

 

Total number of smart ration card beneficiaries 1.42 crore

 

The eldest woman in the smart ration card will be the head of the family.

 

Wheat will be given under smart ration card at Rs 2 per kg.

 

Under smart ration card, biennial entitlement of wheat will be given in one go.

 

Distribution under smart ration card will be done by the department directly at the doorstep of the beneficiary.

 

Under smart ration card, the beneficiary gets to keep wheat sacks in which he gets food grains.

 

Under Smart Ration Card, beneficiaries are de-duplicated on the basis of Aadhar card number.

 

Under the smart ration card, if the beneficiary does not get wheat according to his eligibility, the consumer can go to the court.

 

Wheat will be delivered in 30 kg standard packing under smart ration card.

 

Department officials, beneficiaries, transporters, gram panchayats, monitoring committees - all will work together for the distribution of wheat under smart ration cards.

 

There is no upper cap under Smart Ration Card. Each member gets five kg of wheat per month.

Punjab Smart Ration Card Scheme Apply Online

All the details of the cardholder beneficiaries have been digitized. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs are available on the Punjab Department's Transparency Portal.

 

Under the Smart Ration Card Scheme, the Punjab Government is going to provide smart ration cards to around 36 lakh NFSA families across the state.
