According to the beliefs, Shivling of poor place wishing
Shiva is established here. It is also known as Dev Ghar of Bihar.
In the month of Shravan, there is a crowd of devotees and
devotees throughout the month. Devotees of Dak bum and Bol Bam and lifting the Kaavar reach the Garib Sthan Muzaffarpur in 24 hours by walking 70 km from the Ganges river located in Hajipur which falls in Pahleja. Shiva
devotees consider themselves very happy by offering Ganga
water to Baba.
The Garib Sthan temple is 300 years old, according to the
legends, there were 7 peepal trees at the place of this temple at one time, when
people cut it, a liquid red substance like blood came out of it, later Baba in
a dream to the owner of the land. Had given darshan and told that there is a
big Shivling here. Then the temple was built 3 century ago according to the Shavalinga on it.
According to other dental tales, a long time ago there was a
banyan tree on it which is still there. There is a banyan tree on the left side
just in front of Baba's temple. A Nandi is also sitting in front of the temple
place of Baba. It is said that when the landlord was getting this banyan tree
cut, red water came out of it, after which the cutting of the tree was stopped.
During the excavation, Shiva Linga was found from the ground which was in a
damaged condition. Then Baba came in a dream to the landlord and told that my
excavation has been done by a poor man, so establish it in the name of Garib
Nath. Then the temple was built here in the name of the Garib Nath.
The wishes of many people have been fulfilled by the
blessings of Baba, who fulfills their wishes. Baba Garib Nath, who is popular
from Dev Ghar in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, fulfills
everyone's wishes.
To reach the poor place Dev Ghar, it is 1.5 km from
Muzaffarpur station via Islampur or Company Bagh. Very close. It can be reached
by both the routes.
